Alpaca Picnics
Picnic with the Alpacas
We have now added a new event for couples and families to our list of experiences! Each Wednesday you can either join us for your morning coffee or a relaxing picnic lunch in our meadows surrounded by our wonderful, friendly alpacas. On our normal walks, due to insurance purposes, all children need to be over 8 years old but our picnic experiences do not include a walk so you can now bring your children and grandchildren who are over 3 years old to meet the alpacas. There is plenty of space on our 10 acres of land for you to choose a place to sit and enjoy the surroundings knowing that you have plenty of open space to enjoy.
Whats included
- Meet the baby alpacas most would have just been born, or if your lucky you may even see one being born!
- listen to an informative talk about everything alpaca
- choose your spot to sit and enjoy your picnic anywhere within the 10 acres. You could sit in the woods if hot for shade or alongside the meandering river Navigation or right next to the alpaca herd
Option one
Alpaca my flask, 10am to 11:30pm, Bring your blankets, your chairs and your flask of tea or coffee and drinks and snacks for the kids. Pick your spot amongst the animals and enjoy 90 minutes in the company of our alpacas, cria (baby alpacas), Primrose the llama and Ken, Eric & Ernie the sheep).
As with our usual experiences our gates will open at 09:35am ready for you to get parked up and wait in your car for our other guests to arrive. The gates will close promptly at 9.55am.
Option two
Alpaca my picnic, 12:30pm to 2:00pm, Bring your blankets, chairs and your picnic lunch and settle down for 90 minutes amongst the animals at Hensting Alpacas. Feel free to take a stroll along the river but make sure you take your food and belongings with you so the naughty squirrel doesn’t help himself to your tasty lunch! What a relaxing way to spend your lunchtime.
Gates will open at 12.05am where a member of the Hensting team will be waiting to show you where to park. Gates will close promptly at 12.25pm so don’t be late.
Our usual terms and conditions apply although we can allow children who are over 3 years old onto these experiences.
All guests are responsible for supervising the children in their group at all times and must not allow litter to blow around or leave any litter behind.
Sadly, due to the way we have to park on site and due to the terrain of our land, our experiences are not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.

Adults: £19.00 each
Children : (under 16s) £5.00 each
