Can my 8 year old child walk an alpaca by themselves?
Can my 8 year old child walk an alpaca by themselves?
No children from 8 years up to 12 years need to use a double lead on the alpaca with the parent / guardian holding the other lead at all times.
This is to make sure the child is safe as can be possible just in case the alpaca should become spoked or scared and suddenly bolt or rear up (this is very very rare but could happen)
All our alpacas are very well trained including the baby alpacas so please relax and enjoy your alpaca walk
